Season closes June 15th
The stripers are starting to return back in the lakes from their spawning run in the rivers. Look for fish in 35-45 ft in the creeks and on the deeper flats. Also reports of fish in 48 to 50+ foot out in the main Channel on Lake Moultrie. Fish with Carolina Rigs with live herring and shad. The night time Striper bite is doing good. Look for schools of shad.
B.A.S.S. report from captain Kyle Austin
Bass are mostly Post spawn. Early morning bass can be found feeding on threadfin Shad early in the morning where Shad are spawning. Use spinnerbait, bladed jigs, swimbaits, and top water lures that imitate a Shad. Later in the day you can find bass on cypress trees and stumps expecially in areas where bream are spawning. Use Texas rigs, weightless worms and jigs to target these bass. Overall bass fishing is great right now and should be same pattern for rest of the month.
